What is Therapy?
Counselling and psychotherapy is a collaborative and personal journey where a therapist works with a client to explore and understand their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours in a safe and supportive environment. It provides a space where your unique experiences are valued, creating a sense of safety and trust between you and your therapist.

I believe the therapeutic relationship is foundational to this process, as it fosters an environment where you can feel comfortable sharing and exploring difficult emotions and experiences. When you trust your therapist, it becomes easier to delve into painful or challenging topics, which may bring up uncomfortable feelings such as sadness, anxiety, anger, or guilt. While these feelings can be challenging, they are often a natural part of the therapeutic process and an important step toward personal growth.

The process requires active participation from you, promoting your autonomy, and may result in meaningful change, both in how you feel and in how you relate to others. My role is to facilitate and support you as you navigate this process, empowering you to move toward a more integrated, genuine sense of self.

I am a pre-accredited integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, which means I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches to suit your unique needs, such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and person-centred therapy. Our sessions will provide a safe and confidential space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
